SUMMARY:Village Talk - Native Americans and Archaeology in Marin County
DESCRIPTION:This talk addresses the Native American history of Marin County using archaeology\, historical documents\, and ethnohistory. Learn how Coast Miwok survived the missions and maintained connections to their culture\, families\, and homes. \nBio – Tsim Schneider is assistant professor of anthropology at UC Santa Cruz. He has a Ph.D. from UC Berkeley and his continuing archaeological and historical research in Marin County investigates the interactions between Native Americans and colonial institutions.
