DESCRIPTION:August 3rd \nJunior Ranger Program\nChina Camp Oak Woodland Exploration\n\nEarn your Jr. Ranger badge as we explore China Camp’s majestic oak trees and the insects and animals that call them home. We’ll learn about the cultural and natural history of China Camp’s oak woodlands. Each program encourages participants to become stewards of their local environment. It may be a warm day\, so bring lots of water. \n                \nDate: Saturday August 3rd \nTime: 9am-10:30am \nLocation: Turtleback Trailhead \nAge: Best for ages 6-10\, accompanied by an adult. \n  \nBring appropriate hiking clothes and shoes\, snacks\, sunscreen\, a hat\, and binoculars  \n(if you have them). \nSpace is limited and reservations are required. \nTo reserve\, send email to: \nchinacamp.programs@gmail.com or call (415) 456-0766. \nInclude your name\, phone #\, and the number of people attending. \nWe will reply to confirm your reservation. \nCancellation announcements will be posted on the FOCC website homepage.

DESCRIPTION:August\nGUIDED HIKING PROGRAM \nNaturalist Hikes at China Camp\nLearn about the abundant wildlife in the area. \nSee stunning vistas. \nGet Outside and exercise by the glittering bay.  \nJoin us for a guided hike at China Camp\, lead by naturalist Harold Hirsch. These weekend hikes range from easy to advanced\, from 1.5 to 6 miles. Please wear layers and good hiking shoes. Bring appropriate hiking gear\, water\, snacks\, sunscreen and a hat. \n\n\n8/3 Back Ranch Meadows Entrance Gate– 9:30am: Intermediate\, 3 miles\, 400 ft elevation gain. Meet at the entrance gate by the guard kiosk. \n8/17 Knight Drive Trailhead-  9:30am:  Intermediate\,  3 miles\, 100 ft elevation gain. \n8/24 China Camp Village– Heritage Day Festival Hike- 1:00 pm: Intermediate\,  3 miles\, 100 ft elevation gain.\n8/31 Beechwood Ct & Heartwood Ct.
