July’s “buck” moon orbits closer to the earth than at any other time of the year\, offering sky gazers an especially luminous treat. This moon is named after the mid-summer season when mature bucks display crowns of impressive branched antlers. Join this easy\, 2-mile round-trip journey for an excellent bayside lunar viewing experience.                                                                                                                                                                           \n  \nDate: Wednesday\, July 13 \nTime:  8:45 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. \nLocation: Meeting location details emailed upon reservation.  \nDifficulty: Easy\, 2 miles round trip \nWhat to bring: Warm clothing\, water\, flashlight or headlamp with spare batteries.
