SUMMARY:Après Turkey Family Hike
DESCRIPTION:Instead of shopping on the busiest day of the year\, come stretch your legs in the beauty of China Camp. Our day-after-Thanksgiving Day hike will follow the easy Shoreline Trail to the enormous “Mother Oak Tree.” Along the way we will look for the bright red berries of toyon (assuming red-breasted robins haven’t gobbled them up for their own Thanksgiving feast). We’ll also be on the lookout for the fluffy\, wind-borne seeds tipping the branches of coyote bush\, bright yellow leaves of big-leaf maple\, crimson honeysuckle berries\, and other signs of the changing seasons. \nEvent may be canceled due to rain or high winds. Dress in layers for changeable weather. Registration is required.
