SUMMARY:Junior Ranger Program: Wild Moms
DESCRIPTION:In honor of Mother’s Day this month\, May’s Junior Ranger program will focus on some of the hardest workers among China Camp’s wildland creatures: wildlife moms! Your little ones will learn about the maternal caretaking habits of creatures like dusky-footed woodrats\, raccoons\, and woodpeckers. These woodland moms demonstrate resilience and devotion as they busily craft nests and dens\, and gather and store food to increase the chances of survival for their offspring.  \nDress your pint-size naturalists in layers for changeable weather\, and bring snacks\, a filled water bottle\, a smile\, and a spirit of adventure. \nSpace is limited; registration is required. Cancellations notified via email.  \n  \nDate: Saturday\, May 18 \nTime: 10 a.m. – noon \nLocation: Back Ranch Meadows Campground \nDifficulty: easy\, ¾-mile walk \nCost: free to FOCC members; $5 donation appreciated for non-members \nAge: ages 7 to 9; under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult \nADA accessible: no \nMaximum number of attendees: 15 \n  \nRESERVE NOW
