DESCRIPTION:Darwin digs paleontology\n \nBring your little ones to celebrate Charles Darwin’s 216th birthday with fun hands-on activities\, cool science facts\, and a sweet birthday treat. \nWhy are today’s plants and animals so different from the saber-tooth cats\, wooly mammoths\, and other extinct species that roamed a vast river valley where the San Francisco Bay now lies? Almost two centuries ago\, Darwin and other scientists examined rock formations\, fossils\, and bones to discover the forces that help us unravel this remarkable history. \nAt this event\, Junior Rangers will meet “Mr. Darwin” himself. We’ll learn about his theory of evolution\, share fascinating fossils\, and explore their ancient link to today’s plants and animals. Don’t miss this adventure into the past. \nSpace is limited; registration required.
