SUMMARY:Give-back morning at China Camp
DESCRIPTION:Friends of China Camp\, a non-profit organization\, works hard to keep our park safe and beautiful—but we can’t do it without our dedicated team of volunteers! Join us for a fun and rewarding morning of giving back. This is a great time to meet fellow nature enthusiasts\, get some fresh air and exercise\, and maybe even pick up a new skill along the way. \nNo experience or long-term commitment is necessary. Just come wearing long pants\, a long-sleeve shirt\, and sturdy closed-toe shoes. Don’t forget a filled water bottle\, work gloves\, and sunscreen! Please note that pets are not allowed on our trails\, so we kindly ask that you leave your furry friends at home. \nWe look forward to having you join us! \nFor groups of five or more\, contact our volunteer maintenance coordinator at kjsmead@comcast.net. \nSpecial Brown-Bag Lunch Day: After our work morning\, bring your own lunch for an informal gathering with fellow volunteers at China Camp Village. Cold drinks provided by Friends of China Camp. \nCancellations will be posted on our events calendar. \nDates: Wednesday\, May 14 (no need to register; just show up) \nTime: 9 a.m. – noon \nLocation: China Camp Ranger Station \nDifficulty: easy to strenuous (you choose) \nAges: 14 and up; under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult
