DESCRIPTION:Friends of China Camp\, a non-profit organization\, works hard to keep our park safe and beautiful—but we can’t do it without our dedicated team of volunteers! Join us for a fun and rewarding morning of giving back. This is a great time to meet fellow nature enthusiasts\, get some fresh air and exercise\, and maybe even pick up a new skill along the way. \nNo previous experience or long-term commitment required. Wear long pants\, a long-sleeve shirt\, and sturdy shoes (no sandals!). Bring a filled water bottle\, work gloves\, and wear sunscreen (bug spray optional). For groups of five or more\, contact our volunteer maintenance coordinator at kjsmead@comcast.net. \nCancellations will be posted on our events calendar. \nDates: Wednesday\, April 1 (no need to register; just show up) \nTime: 9 a.m. – noon \nLocation: China Camp Ranger Station \nDifficulty: easy to strenuous (you choose) \nAges: 14 and up; under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult

DESCRIPTION:This program has been cancelled due to adverse weather forecasted. -FOCC\, 3/31/26 \n  \nJoin us for an unforgettable evening under the stars. This popular guided hike leads to an impressive vista point where we’ll witness the rise of the full moon over the sparkling bay. April’s full “Pink Moon” gets its name from the vibrant pink phlox flowers that bloom on the East Coast in spring. Here at China Camp\, the moon coincides with our native pink wildflower\, the checkermallow. Naturalist Harold Hirsch will lead this moderately strenuous hike. \nSpace is limited; registration is required.
