SUMMARY:Full moon hike: The Flower Moon
DESCRIPTION:Take in one of the park’s most breathtaking sights: the full moon rising over the bay. Join us as we hike up to a perfect vista point\, just in time to watch this month’s lunar show. \nMay’s first celestial stunner (there are two full moons this month) is known as the Flower Moon\, a name that comes from the East Coast’s timing of the seasons. Out here on the West Coast\, we’re well into summertime blooms by May\, but we’re happy to enjoy the moon as the ultimate flower in the night sky. Our resident full-moon guru\, Harold Hirsch\, will lead this invigorating hike. \nSpace is limited; registration is required. Cancellation notified via email. \nDate: Friday\, May 1\nTime: 7:15 p.m. – 10 p.m.\nLocation: China Camp Ranger Station\nDifficulty: moderately strenuous (3.5-mile round-trip hike)\nCost: free to FOCC members; $5 donation appreciated for non-members\nAges: 10 and older; under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult \nRESERVE NOW
