SUMMARY:Birding walk: Stop\, look\, and listen
DESCRIPTION:Want to learn more about birds\, not just by using your eyes\, but your ears\, too? This time of year\, Bewick’s wrens burr\, Western flycatchers whistle\, swallows chitter—it’s the noisy time of year at China Camp. With a host of species deep into nesting activities\, male birds are singing out territorial calls\, parents are calling out to chicks and their mates\, and much more. Come with your curiosity; all birding levels welcome. Bring binoculars if you have them. \nDate: Saturday\, May16 \nTime: 8 a.m. – 10 a.m. \nLocation: Turtle Back Nature Trail trailhead \nDifficulty: easy (mostly flat 2-mile walk) \nCost: free to FOCC members; $5 donation appreciated for non-members \nAges: 8 and older; under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult \nRESERVE NOW
