SUMMARY:Give-back morning at China Camp
DESCRIPTION:Friends of China Camp\, a non-profit organization\, works hard to keep our park safe and beautiful—but we can’t do it without our dedicated team of volunteers! Join us for a fun and rewarding morning of giving back. This is a great time to meet fellow nature enthusiasts\, get some fresh air and exercise\, and maybe even pick up a new skill along the way. \nNo previous experience or long-term commitment required. Wear long pants\, a long-sleeve shirt\, and sturdy shoes (no sandals!). Bring a filled water bottle\, work gloves\, and wear sunscreen (bug spray optional). For groups of five or more\, contact our volunteer maintenance coordinator at kjsmead@comcast.net. \nCancellations will be posted on our events calendar. \nDates: Thursday\, April 30 (no need to register; just show up) \nTime: 9 a.m. – noon \nLocation: China Camp Ranger Station \nDifficulty: easy to strenuous (you choose) \nAges: 14 and up; under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult

DESCRIPTION:In partnership with California State Parks\, we’re excited to host a vibrant AAPI Heritage Month celebration in the historic village! The event will feature a kid-friendly craft table\, captivating lion dancers\, engaging speakers\, and booths from fellow State Parks and community organizations—including the Marin Chinese Cultural Association\, Angel Island Immigration Station Foundation\, Angel Island State Park\, Marin History Museum\, the National Estuarine Research Reserve\, and more. \nGuests can also enjoy a special historic walking tour of the village led by Milton Quan\, one of the last residents of China Camp Village—an experience you won’t want to miss. Plus\, don’t forget to enter our raffle for a chance to win some fantastic prizes! \nDate: May 3rd\, 2026 \nTime: 11am-2pm \nThis is a free event but please pay the $5 parking fee for parking in China Camp lots \nRegistration not required but encouraged \n
