Friends of China Camp

Pardon us if we toot our horn a bit, but sometimes we’ve just got to share. Once again, China Camp State Park has won the Pacific Sun’s “Best of Marin” award, this year in two categories: “Best Park/Open Space” and “Best Bike Route/Trail.” 

We’d also like to share some incredible stats from our official Google listing. As you might know, Google Maps lets people give star ratings and make comments about locations. We’re downright blushing to say that we have gotten a staggering number of five-star reviews, and that beautiful photos of the park are piling in. Comments flabbergast us too:

• “Amazing place. Bring your bikes or bring a picnic. We had a great time with friends at the group campsite!”
• “The best place to go relax if you had a bad day at work…”
• “Beautiful, serene, and quiet campground only 10 mins from San Rafael. Breathtaking views of the bay. Morning fog but really sunny and beautiful during the day. Great place to vacation, camp or get away from the city.”

Praise like this keeps us going—trimming those trails, building new fences, putting up new signs, splitting logs and kindling for your campfires, smiling and waving as you check in for a night of camping or head to the beach for a day of splashing in the bay.
