Wildflower walk: spring in full swing

March 8 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

Pearl-pink milkmaids, sapphire-blue lupine and blue dicks, garnet-hued warrior’s plume—it’s a veritable jewelry box at the park right now, with springtime wildflowers sprinkling our meadows and woods with color. On this gentle hike, we’ll look for easy-to-spot blooms, like California poppies and California buttercups. We’ll also be on the lookout for California larkspur, red sanicle, and owl and tomcat clovers.

Hike leader and journalist Harriot Manley will share tips on capturing images of flowers with your phone. And to keep you identifying wildflowers on your own, she will show you how to use your iPhone to help ID wildflowers in the field.
