May 12, 2018 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Shu Wei’s Revenge by Jackson Fahnstock
Please join Jackson Fahnstock as he discusses his background and his novel Shu Wei’s Revenge at Book Passage in Corte Madera on Saturday May 12 at 7:00 P.M. Shu Wei is a seventeen year old boy growing up in Shanhou, China in 1898. His misadventures cause his family to emigrate to San Francisco’s Chinatown. Caught up in the underworld he must struggle to survive and to regain his family’s honor; his own future hangs in the balance.

Mr. Fahnstock’s years of travel as an architect to Asia and Southeast Asia served as the genesis for the book. A book signing will follow his reading and presentation. The book won a New York City Big Book Award and was a finalist in the 2015 William Faulkner Wisdom Creative Writing Competition.

All proceeds of this event will be donated to Friends of China Camp.
