Birding walk: the importance of habitats
January is an excellent time for birding at China Camp. The park’s diverse habitats, including coastal wetlands, meadows, and lush forests, provide a home for roughly 60 different resident species. Winter visitors also flock to the park, such as the tree swallow shown here, which typically arrives later this month. Join our leisurely morning walk to learn about the importance of habitats for biodiversity. All levels of birding ability are welcome.
