Full Moon Hike

September 17 @ 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Full moon by Steve Ziman, FOCC volunteer

Celebrate the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival, also called the Moon Festival, with an invigorating hike to watch the moonrise. The full moon in September, known as the “Harvest Moon,” occurs closest to the fall equinox. The name reflects this moon’s extended period of moonlight, which once helped farmers with autumn harvests. After the hike, enjoy traditional mooncakes with your fellow hikers.
