Full moon hike: The Flower Moon
Take in one of the park’s most breathtaking sights: the full moon rising over the bay. Join us as we hike up to a perfect vista point, just in time to watch this month’s lunar show.
May’s first celestial stunner (there are two full moons this month) is known as the Flower Moon, a name that comes from the East Coast’s timing of the seasons. Out here on the West Coast, we’re well into summertime blooms by May, but we’re happy to enjoy the moon as the ultimate flower in the night sky. Our resident full-moon guru, Harold Hirsch, will lead this invigorating hike.
