Full Moon Viewing

August 1, 2023 @ 8:45 pm - 9:45 pm

Ready for a night of mid-summer lunar celebration? From the dazzling vantage point of the China Camp Point bayside bluff, we will set up our telescope and get an up close look at the full moon’s shining face as it emerges over the east bay hills. We will learn a little about the fascinating origin of the moon and make homemade s’more “moon” pies. This stationary wheelchair-accessible event welcomes all ages.

What to bring: Dress for the crisp, cool night, and pack flashlights loaded with fresh batteries.

Note: Overcast skies, heavy north bay fog, or strong winds will cancel.
