Junior Ranger Program

January 21 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

After the long dry summer, the winter rains have awakened China Camp’s landscape: long-dormant seeds are sprouting, slick orange-bellied newts are emerging from deep earthen burrows, and beetles feast upon wet rotting wood and new mushrooms. During January’s program, Junior Rangers will look for these and other creatures under logs and rocks and learn about the role that rain plays in the life cycle of amphibians and insects in our park.

Dress in layers for the weather. Bring a filled water bottle and snacks.
