June’s Selection:
Alfred Hitchcock’s The Birds
Join us for an outdoor showing of Alfred Hitchcock’s classic horror film, The Birds. This 1963 film was shot in Bodega Bay California and was inspired by a short story called The Birds which was written in 1952 by Daphne Du Maurier. The film stars Rod Taylor and Tippi Hedren (in her screen debut), supported by Jessica Tandy, Suzanne Pleshette and Veronica Cartwright.
In 2016, The Birds was deemed “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant” by the United States Library of Congress, and selected for preservation in its’ National Film Registry.
