Up for a challenge with some spectacular rewards? Join us for one of the park’s most challenging hikes–a 5-mile round-trip hike with a 1000-foot elevation gain up to the San Pedro ridgeline. The trip will offer commanding views of the North Bay and the western coastal ranges. Along the way we’ll catch the last burst of spring wildflowers: clarkia, sticky monkey flower, and Franciscan paintbrush.  Bring a full water bottle, snacks, proper hiking shoes, sunscreen, a hat, and weather-appropriate clothing.

Date: Saturday, June 17

Time: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Location: Bay Hills Fire Road Trailhead. From Knight Drive, turn left at Rollingwood Drive until you get to Beechwood Court. Meet near the end by the trailhead.

Difficulty: Strenuous, 5 miles.
