Day-use passes

How to buy a day-use pass

China Camp State Park is a fee-use area. By buying a pass, you are helping keep the park, which receives no financial support from the State of California or from taxes, open and safely maintained. All fees stay within China Camp State Park, to allow Friends of China Camp to keep the park open and thriving!

A trail-only day-use Pass is $3 per person. A parking+trail-only day-use pass is $5 per vehicle, which includes trail access for up to four people. Purchase day-use passes at one of our electronic pay stations, located throughout the park. Pay stations accept cash (no change), or credit/ATM cards. Keep your receipt with you.

At trail heads that don’t have electronic pay stations, please deposit exact cash in the iron ranger (envelopes provided; keep stub with you).

Some locations also have QR codes, for payment via mobile phone, posted at trailhead kiosks. If you are asked for proof of purchase when you’re in the park, just share the notice of payment on your cell phone.

Annual passes can also be purchased at electronic pay stations throughout the park. If you have purchased an Annual Pass from one of the electronic pay stations, please complete and submit this form. Use your receipt as proof of payment until you receive your permanent pass in the mail.

To further support Friends of  China Camp and the park, consider a philanthropic membership level, each with special bonuses, such as exclusive guided tours and member events. One hundred percent of your contribution goes directly to keeping China Camp State Park open and thriving for all.
