Donations pour in to buy new grills, tables, and trash bins

Summer 2021

Thanks to a successful Spring Appeal, Friends of China Camp has raised funds to purchase a fleet of new barbecue grills and picnic tables, as well as lumber to rebuild trash bins. FOCC volunteers and staff have already begun to replace outdated equipment, with many new grills in place and in use at China Camp Point.

Improving the park by giving visitors new amenities is a top priority this year for FOCC, notes Executive Director Martin Lowenstein, who notes that $35,000 has already been raised towards the goal of $40,000.

“I want to express my deepest appreciation to those who support the park,” says Lowenstein. “We depend on the community, and I am continually humbled by everyone’s generosity.”
