Get ready to feast your eyes on the biggest and brightest supermoon of 2022. July’s “buck” moon orbits closer to the earth than at any other time of the year, offering sky gazers an especially luminous treat. This moon is named after the mid-summer season when mature bucks display crowns of impressive branched antlers. Join this easy, 2-mile round-trip journey for an excellent bayside lunar viewing experience.                                                                                                                                                                          

Date: Wednesday, July 13

Time:  8:45 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Location: Meeting location details emailed upon reservation. 

Difficulty: Easy, 2 miles round trip

What to bring: Warm clothing, water, flashlight or headlamp with spare batteries. Be sure to wear appropriate shoes for hiking. 

Note: Hike begins at 8:45 p.m. sharp, so don’t be late or you’ll miss the fun!
