REGISTRATION FULL: King Tide Hike
December 5, 2021 @ 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm
THE REGISTRATION FOR THESE EVENTS IS FULL.
Join scientist and educator Bella Mayorga from San Francisco Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve for a walk near the edge of China Camp’s tidal salt marsh during a “king tide,” the name for one of the highest tides of the year. We will learn about marsh species, current scientific research, and what king tides can teach us about sea level rise. Click here to see a time-lapse video of a King Tide at China Camp. Due to the popularity of this event, we will be offering two events this year. Please choose only one hike. This event is suitable for adults.
