SPECIAL EVENT: Scan the skies with Marin Stargazers

Look up! When skies are clear and the sun sets, you can’t miss this month’s dazzling array of natural night lights: a delicate crescent moon, brilliant Venus shining on the horizon, and mighty Jupiter glowing above.
Come see these and other evening dazzlers with volunteers from Marin Stargazers. They’ll bring their telescopes so we can all enjoy the beauty, and learn more about the wonders of the universe. As twilight deepens, we’ll look for the Beehive Cluster—a family of stars born together. We’ll search for Cor Caroli, a colorful double star, and the globular cluster M3, a dense swarm of ancient stars at the outer edge of our galaxy. From there, we’ll push our view even farther into space, searching for faint galaxies millions of light-years away.
Space is limited; registration required. Cancellations notified via email.
