Spring Equinox Wildflower Hike

Celebrate the first day of spring with us as we hit the trail to seek out the prismatic colors of the wild. Yellow buttercups, orange poppies, red larkspur, purple shooting stars, indigo irisestogether they make an unforgettable rainbow that you won’t want to miss. 

Join naturalist Harold Hirsch on a moderate hike to discover our spring wildflowers deep in the oak woodland at the top of Knight Drive. Harold has been a naturalist for China Camp for over seven years, and has extensive knowledge about the geology, natural history, and botany of China Camp.

Date: Sunday, March 20

Time: 10 a.m. – noon

Location: Knight Drive Trailhead. Meeting location details emailed upon reservation. 

Difficulty: Moderate hike, distance will vary (1-3 miles) depending on our group’s interest.

What to bring: Suitable layers for the weather, water,and a camera. Be sure to wear appropriate hiking shoes.
