Wild words: Nature journaling in Miwok Meadows

Take a soul-stirring walk beneath the trees, then stop to reflect on your experience—be it with a poem, a sketch, or whatever feels right.
This month, come celebrate California State Parks Week at a special event with nature journalist Shirley Austin-Peake. She’ll help you experience the art of slowing down, noticing details, making observations, then capturing the magic and resilience of the natural world. Journals, pens, and light refreshments will be provided. Bring your creativity, wonder, and curiosity.
