Access to China Camp State Park will be limited Saturday, Oct. 3, for a triathlon. Roads between Main Drive and the Back Ranch campground entrance will close to through traffic from 8:30 a.m.–1 p.m. (residents will still have access to their neighborhoods); vehicles may enter China Camp from the north/Santa Venetia entrance only, as far as the Back Ranch campground entrance. On Sunday, Oct. 4, a trail half marathon will begin at McNear’s Beach at 8:30 a.m. Runners will enter China Camp via Biscayne Drive and use park trails, with temporary traffic interruptions on Point San Pedro Road as runners cross the road.
